Visiting the Samoa Seahorse in Sylt

Updated: Jun 9, 2023

Gently nestled in the dune landscape of the German Island of Sylt you will find this nice restaurant, directly located on the beach of Samoa. With about 400 meters, Sylt is the narrowest here, but do not worry, their menu is not ;-).

The dishes on the menu show the creativity of the kitchen - regional classics are reinterpreted without losing sight of the fresh product. There is pure taste and pure joy in every dish. Those who prefer great seafood on the beach of Sylt should try the juicy cod fillet under a potato crust with vanilla carrots and Dijon mustard sauce. For meat lovers, there are, among other things, perfectly pink roasted lamb fillets with chorizo beans or even half an oven-fresh flying duck.

A varied and well-stocked wine list with 120 positions offer a glass for every budget.

The Samoa Seahorse has a great sun terrace with an overwhelming view of the North Sea. The historic floorboards, the quaint winter garden and the heated outdoor area - they all create the legendary cozy and honest Seahorse charm.

The atmosphere is noticeably relaxed everywhere. Which is not least because of the perfectly co-ordinated and cordial service crew. Jan Nissen-Hünding creates with his Seepferdchen a perfect blend of culinary expertise and casual cordiality, which meet at one of the most beautiful locations.
